Six prisoners join a writing group in jail, mainly to get out of their cells, but as they do they break other chains that bind them.

After well received rehearsed readings Hal will tour Penned Up nationally in autumn 2025.

The Hal Company is a charitable incorporated organisation that provides playwrighting workshops, giving people the chance to write their stories and then share this writing using professional actors. Some of the stories are then made into full-length plays which Hal then stages and tours.
